From graphic designer to entrepreneur - this is the journey of our founder, Ketki Torane.

Her love for travel took her to remote areas of Rajasthan, Kashmir, and South India, where she discovered rich textiles and the weaver communities behind them. What began as exploration soon became a mission - to source directly from artisans and help sustain their craft.

In 2011, Ketki started Craft Village from her home in Pune, making khun cushion covers, trays, and coasters for friends and family. The response was overwhelming. Encouraged by loved ones, she took the brand to exhibitions and corporate orders. Word of mouth and Facebook helped it grow.

Today, Craft Village has its flagship store in Kothrud, Pune. But the small home studio where it all began remains close to our heart - a reminder that big dreams don't need big beginnings.

Ketki still designs every collection and personally works with artisans across India, keeping craftsmanship and authenticity at the core of everything we do.
